This cloth was piece-dyed by William Walker & Co. Leeds in 1899 according to the following recipe:

For 4 pieces of 20 oz. White cloth, each 50 yd. long

4 lb. Cutch
6 lb. Sulphate of copper
½ pint Indigo Extract
½ pint Fustic Extract
½ pint D.O.V.
18 lb soda crystals
